Cooling is not moisture control
An air conditioner can remove some moisture while cooling, but most residential and commercial AC systems are controlled primarily by temperature. Once the required temperature is reached, moisture removal may become insufficient even though the space feels cool.
A dedicated dehumidification system is designed to monitor and control humidity independently. It complements the air-conditioning system; it does not replace it.

The expression “ducted dehumidifier” describes how the equipment distributes air. Visitors may also encounter terms such as “ceiling-mounted dehumidifier”, “above-ceiling dehumidifier” or “whole-home dehumidifier”.
In a typical ONYX installation, the unit is positioned above a false ceiling or in a technical area. Return and supply air are routed through engineered ducts. Only the grilles and controller normally remain visible in the occupied space.
System design
Many residential ONYX installations use dedicated return and supply air paths. Where suitable, the visible grilles may be coordinated with the interior and AC layout.
Some higher-capacity systems, including ONYX Zenith, may be integrated with a wider HVAC system when airflow, static pressure, access, drainage and other engineering requirements have been assessed.

A real UAE installation
The property experienced indoor relative humidity of approximately 65%. The installed system included one ONYX Aero 70, one ONYX Core 120 and two ONYX Core 70 units serving different areas of the villa.
After commissioning and stabilization, the measured indoor humidity was approximately 50%.
Dedicated air paths were used while selected visible grilles were coordinated with the AC installation.
