Villas and Private Residences

Zoned humidity control across floors, wardrobes, wet areas and rarely used rooms.

What you are seeing

Villas can experience very different humidity levels from one room or floor to another. Bedrooms and living areas may feel comfortable, while wardrobes, basements, staircases, bathrooms and rarely used rooms remain humid. This can lead to condensation, musty odours and mould, while also affecting furniture, clothing, artwork and interior finishes.

Why it happens

A villa is constantly exposed to Dubai's hot and humid outdoor air through entrances, terraces, fresh-air systems and normal air leakage. Large internal volumes, high ceilings, multiple floors, wet areas and frequent door opening make humidity difficult to control evenly. Air conditioning lowers the temperature, but may not provide consistent humidity control throughout the entire property.

The ONYX NOVA approach

ONYX NOVA divides the villa into practical humidity-control zones and selects the appropriate solution for each area. One or more concealed ONYX Core units can independently treat and distribute air across bedrooms, living spaces, wardrobes and other priority rooms through dedicated return and supply air paths.

Where continuous fresh-air treatment and energy recovery are required, ONYX Aero may be incorporated into the project. Larger or more specialised areas may require a higher-capacity ONYX solution following an engineering assessment.

The complete system operates automatically to maintain more stable indoor humidity while working alongside — but independently from — the air-conditioning system. Final equipment selection and zoning are based on the villa layout, indoor volume, fresh-air load, usage patterns and existing HVAC configuration.

Technical note: Final equipment selection and expected performance depend on site conditions, system design, outdoor-air conditions and professional assessment.
