What you are seeing
High indoor humidity can lead to condensation, musty odours and mould — particularly inside wardrobes, bedrooms, bathrooms and other areas with limited air circulation. It may also affect furniture, clothing, finishes and overall indoor comfort.
Why it happens
Air conditioning primarily controls temperature, but does not always maintain stable humidity throughout the property. Humid outdoor air can also enter through fresh-air systems, doors, balconies and normal air leakage. In larger apartments and penthouses, different rooms may experience very different humidity levels.
The ONYX NOVA approach
A concealed ONYX Core system automatically monitors and controls indoor humidity independently of the air conditioning. The equipment is installed above the ceiling with its own engineered return and supply air paths, allowing dry, treated air to be distributed across the required rooms.
For larger apartments and penthouses, the property can be divided into zones, with each unit serving a selected group of rooms. Where appropriate, a controlled amount of fresh air may also be introduced and treated by the system.
The final solution is selected following an inspection of the layout, ceiling space, drainage, airflow requirements and existing HVAC configuration.
