Recurring Mould and Condensation
When cleaning and repainting is not enough, the conditions behind the problem remain.
What you are seeing
Mould may return to the same walls, ceilings, wardrobes, corners or areas around air-conditioning diffusers even after cleaning, repainting or replacing damaged finishes. Condensation may also appear on windows, grilles, cold surfaces or inside concealed spaces, often accompanied by musty odours.
Why it happens
Cleaning removes visible mould but does not necessarily remove the conditions that allowed it to develop. High indoor humidity, humid outdoor-air infiltration, limited air circulation and cold surfaces can repeatedly create local areas where condensation forms and materials remain damp. Water leaks, damaged waterproofing, thermal bridges or other building defects can produce similar symptoms and must be identified separately. A dehumidification system does not replace the repair of an active water leak or construction defect.
The ONYX NOVA approach
ONYX NOVA first assesses indoor humidity, temperature patterns, air circulation, fresh-air entry and the location of recurring condensation or mould. Where excess airborne humidity is a contributing factor, a dedicated ONYX dehumidification system can automatically maintain more stable humidity independently of the air conditioning.
Treated air is distributed to the required rooms and problem areas, helping reduce condensation risk and create conditions that are less favourable for mould to return. Existing mould must still be professionally cleaned, and any leaks or building defects must be repaired separately.
The final solution is selected according to the source of the problem, property layout, affected areas and measured operating conditions.
Technical note: Final equipment selection and expected performance depend on site conditions, system design, outdoor-air conditions and professional assessment.

Understand the background.
Why does mould return after cleaning and repainting?
Cleaning removes what is visible on the surface. If the conditions that allowed growth remain, the same surfaces stay at risk.
Read articleWhy is my home humid while the AC is running?
Air-conditioning is designed primarily to control temperature. Moisture removal is a by-product of cooling and varies with conditions.
Read articleWhat causes condensation around AC diffusers?
Water forming at or around a diffuser indicates that surfaces are reaching the temperature at which moisture in the air condenses.
