Why does mould return after cleaning and repainting?
Cleaning removes what is visible on the surface. If the conditions that allowed growth remain, the same surfaces stay at risk.
Cleaning treats the symptom
Washing, treating and repainting an affected wall removes the visible growth and restores the finish. It does not change the conditions of the surface itself.
Where a surface continues to stay damp, the same problem tends to reappear in the same locations — often behind wardrobes, in corners of external walls, in closed rooms and around cold surfaces.
Mould depends on conditions, not on paint
Growth depends on moisture being available at the surface for long enough. That is influenced by indoor humidity, surface temperature, air movement and how quickly moisture is removed compared with how quickly it arrives.
Anti-mould paint and biocidal cleaning are surface measures. They do not remove moisture from the air.
Where the moisture comes from
In UAE properties, indoor moisture typically arrives from infiltration of humid outdoor air, occupancy and daily activities, wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, pools and spas, and untreated outdoor air introduced by ventilation.
What changes the outcome
Stable, independent humidity control addresses the condition rather than the finish. A concealed dehumidification system operates on humidity demand, separately from the air-conditioning system that controls temperature.
A professional assessment establishes measured indoor humidity, surface conditions, infiltration paths and exhaust performance before anything is specified.
