Dust and Indoor Air Quality

What you are seeing
Fine desert dust, fibres and other airborne particles can enter indoor spaces and continue circulating through rooms and air-conditioning systems. They may settle on furniture and surfaces, accumulate inside filters and grilles, and contribute to a persistent perception of poor indoor air quality. Odours may occur alongside particle and humidity problems, but their source must be identified separately because not every odour can be removed by particle filtration.
Why it happens
Outdoor particles enter through doors, windows, building leakage and fresh-air systems. Indoor activities, textiles, furnishings and renovation work can create additional dust and particles. Conventional AC filters are often selected primarily to protect the equipment rather than provide comprehensive air purification. Filter performance also depends on airflow, pressure drop, correct installation and regular maintenance.
The ONYX NOVA approach
ONYX NOVA assesses the source of particles, the existing air-conditioning and ventilation system, airflow requirements and available installation space before selecting the appropriate air-treatment solution.
ONYX Aura is an active electrostatic air purifier installed at the return-air side of a compatible fan-coil or air-conditioning unit. Air passes through a washable pre-filter, an ionisation stage and an electrostatic collection stage designed to capture airborne particles.
ONYX Core and ONYX Aero include their own filtration stages as part of their respective humidity-control and fresh-air-treatment functions. The exact filtration configuration depends on the selected model and must be considered together with airflow and system performance.
Air purification does not replace humidity control, ventilation, source removal or professional remediation where mould, water damage or persistent odours are present.
