Filtered Fresh Air and Humidity Control for a Coastal Villa

During the renovation of a 420 m² coastal villa, ONYX NOVA installed six concealed units across three floors to supply filtered outdoor air and provide active humidity control.

Overview

During the renovation of a 420 m² coastal villa in Dubai, the client wanted a whole-home system that would bring in filtered outdoor air while helping control indoor humidity. The solution had to serve all three floors and fit within limited ceiling voids without disrupting the interior design.

The client brief

The renovation presented an opportunity to address ventilation and humidity before the villa was occupied. The client understood that air conditioning alone would not provide the required supply of filtered outdoor air and asked ONYX NOVA to create a concealed solution for the entire property.

This is the approach we apply across villas and private residences and where fresh air and humidity have to be handled together.

The solution

ONYX NOVA specified six units: three Core 70 units and three Core 120 units. The equipment was installed in the ceiling void and connected to dedicated supply and return ductwork. Existing grille locations were used to integrate the air distribution discreetly into the finished interior.

The installation team coordinated the system across the ground, first and second floors. Limited ceiling space required careful equipment positioning and duct routing.

The recorded result

The project information records relative humidity at 65% before installation and 50% after installation. The time between readings and the precise measurement conditions were not recorded, so these figures are presented as project readings rather than a guaranteed performance benchmark. The completed system provides the villa with filtered outdoor air and active humidity control.
